The pi stool was first designed and manufactured in 2001 by Simon Cass, and is the prototypical stool in the extended pi collection.

Taking its name from the mathematical symbol that it closely resembles in profile, the pi stool is a contemporary take on the Danish modern style and derives from the honest simplicity of Japanese forms. Balancing form & function and modern design & artisan craftsmanship, the pi stool is a multi functioning furniture piece designed to adapt to its surroundings and last a lifetime.

It comes standard in an environmentally-friendly and VOC-free oil-finished natural oak, fumed oak, limed oak or ebonised oak frame.

The seat is available in a woven Danish paper cord in natural or black; a split willow skein seat; or with oak slats in the same finish as the frame.

Dimensions: 600L x 380W x 443H mm (taken at the widest point at the base).

Every pi stool is made with FSC British timber and is made to order in our Norwich workshop. The Danish cord and split willow skein seats are handwoven by experienced craftspeople within East Anglia.

As every piece of furniture is handcrafted in small batches, each piece may differ slightly from one another in colour, weave and texture. Therefore, we recommend you order a sample set before placing your order.
